One Stop Canadian Firearms Safety Course (PAL & R/PAL)
This course combines both the Canadian Firearms Safety course (Non-restricted) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety course. The combined Canadian Firearms Safety course and Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety course is made up of lectures and hands on practical training in the safe handling of non-restricted firearm (typically shotguns and rifles used for hunting and target shooting) and restricted firearms (typically handguns). Students will develop skills and knowledge on non-restricted and restricted firearms in the following areas: The evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions, handling and using firearms in a safe manner, social responsibilities of firearms owners, ammunition, storage, display, and transportation laws for firearms.
- In order to take the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety course on day 2 you must pass the non-restricted Canadian Firearms Safety course on day 1.
- Students that are between the ages of 15 and 18 can take the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety course however they cannot write the test until they are 18 years old.
- Students must present a government issued photo ID when they are checking in for the course.

This is a 2 day course commencing at 8:00 am and concluding at 5:00 pm daily. Students are requested to be at the WGT Consulting classroom by 7:30 am on the first day of the course.
There will be both written and practical examinations for each individual course. Both final examinations consist of a written exam and a practical test. The written exams are made up of 50 questions, all of which are “true or false” or “multiple-choice”. The practical examinations consist of a series of actions that the instructor will ask you to perform with various types of firearms in order to demonstrate that you are proficient in the safe handling of firearms in different scenarios.
In order to pass both examinations you must get a score of 80% or better on both components of the examination to be able to apply for a Non-restricted Possession and Acquisition License (P.A.L) and a Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (R/P.A.L).
Course cost: $310.00.
The price includes the course, course manual and all exams.
We try to limit classes to 12 students therefore bookings are on a first come first serve basis. In order to confirm your spot, full payment for the course must be made upon booking. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel, we require notification of cancellation 5 days prior to the course start date. A full refund will be given if notification of the cancellation is given in time. Late notifications will be subject to a $75.00 cancellation fee.
WGT Consulting reserves the right to cancel any course offered due to unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, all students will receive a full refund or a credit applied to another class.
WGT Consulting and its instructors retain the right to deny instruction to any applicant without verbal or written notification of the reason for the denial. Denied applicants will receive notification of the denial and their tuition reimbursement in full.
